Talenry vs Juicebox (2026): Why Talenry Goes Past the Search

Juicebox's PeopleGPT finds people, from $99 a seat plus credits. Talenry finds them, then screens, scores and schedules on your ATS. Here's why it wins.

Talenry vs Juicebox

Juicebox turned candidate search into a sentence: describe who you want, get a ranked list from 800 million profiles, unlock contacts with credits. In 2026 it added always-on sourcing agents and raised at an $850 million valuation. It is superb at finding people. It stops, on purpose, before the conversation. That is where Talenry starts, and why, for most hiring teams, it is the better pick.

PeopleGPT searches “800M+ profiles across 30+ sources” with more than two hundred filterable fields (PeopleGPT page (opens in a new tab)). Its customers skew toward fast-growing tech companies and agencies; press coverage names recruiters at Ramp, Cursor, Samsara and Perplexity (TechCrunch (opens in a new tab)). This comparison is about what happens after the search returns.

TL;DR

  • Talenry comes out ahead. It runs the requisition: sourcing that recalls your own pool first, AI voice screens, rubric scoring, scheduling and EEOC four-fifths testing, with your ATS as the system of record, from $299 per seat a month.
  • Juicebox is sourcing and outreach: natural-language search, contact credits, email sequences, and since May 2026 sourcing agents at $199 a month each. Published self-serve plans run from $99 to $179 per seat a month on annual billing; ATS integrations require the custom Business plan.
  • Juicebox’s edge is the search interface itself. If the shortlist has to be screened, scored and scheduled, and the ATS has to know about it, Talenry wins.

Why Talenry comes out ahead

  • The search is the first step, not the product. Talenry sources, then voice-screens, scores against your rubric, and schedules. The output is a shortlist with a screen transcript behind each name.
  • Your own pool first, free. Every search recalls candidates your team already met before an external query is paid for. Juicebox flags people already in your ATS; Talenry starts from them.
  • Written back, not pushed in. Talenry mirrors into the ATS you run and writes back everything the agent does, on Starter as well as Growth. One external ATS integration is included at $299.
  • Adverse impact tested per pipeline. EEOC four-fifths testing with disclosure-rate context, EEO data segregated from scoring, protected traits never inferred. Juicebox tests its models; Talenry tests your requisition.
  • Engineering candidates get their code read, from their top repositories, on six dimensions.
  • Volume that bills instead of blocking. Starter covers 500 sourced and screened candidates a month, Growth 5,000, and overage bills rather than stopping the search.

What Juicebox does well

The search is the reason to buy. You type the role in plain language and PeopleGPT ranks profiles across location, skills, seniority, tenure, education and activity level. Batch Evaluations score up to 750 profiles against natural-language criteria with a match rating (Juicebox blog: batch evaluations post (opens in a new tab)), and Talent Insights turns a search pool into market analytics. Outreach follows: AI email sequences, multi-channel cadences with social and call steps, and reply tracking (juicebox.ai (opens in a new tab)).

Juicebox Agents, launched May 20, 2026, run continuously across open roles, assess profiles against the bar for each role and send outreach (launch release (opens in a new tab)). Before sourcing, each agent pulls context from your ATS, documents and intake calls (Juicebox Agents page (opens in a new tab)). The company is well funded: a $30 million Series A from Sequoia in September 2025 and an $80 million Series B at an $850 million valuation in March 2026, with 5,000 customers (Juicebox blog: Series B announcement (opens in a new tab)).

Pricing is refreshingly public. On juicebox.ai/pricing (opens in a new tab): Free with five contact credits; Starter at $119 a seat monthly or $99 annual with 500 contact and 500 export credits; Growth at $199 or $179 for up to five seats with 1,500 of each per seat; Business custom and annual-only with unlimited contact credits; agents at $199 each. A July 2026 repricing lowered Starter and doubled its credits (UsagePricing (opens in a new tab)). On trust, Juicebox publishes SOC 2 Type II, GDPR compliance, semi-annual bias testing and annual disparate-impact analyses (trust center (opens in a new tab)).

Where the scope ends

Nobody talks to the candidate. Batch Evaluations score profile data. Agents send outreach. We found no text, voice or video screening, no interview product and no scheduling on juicebox.ai; the Agents page stops at outreach (Agents page (opens in a new tab)). Juicebox’s own trust center says it “does not make or contribute to any candidate decision making”. A recruiter still runs every first conversation.

The ATS is a destination, not a record. Integrations push profiles into Ashby, Lever, Greenhouse, Workday, Bullhorn and others and flag people already in the ATS, but we found no documented stage sync back, and ATS and CRM integrations are only included on the Business plan (Juicebox docs (opens in a new tab)). A Product Hunt reviewer reports that ATS integration shown in the sales demo was “not included” in the Business plan they bought (Product Hunt (opens in a new tab)).

Credits cap the volume. Every self-serve tier meters contact and export credits per seat, and there is no rollover language on the pricing page. A 2026 review notes that “costs stack: per seat, then per agent, then Business for unlimited credits” (Noon (opens in a new tab)).

Coverage and freshness. Profiles come from public web data and partners, so reviewers report that “outside North America and Western Europe the match density drops” (Skillscouter (opens in a new tab)) and that aggregated data can be outdated (Leonar (opens in a new tab), a competitor). Hosting is US-only (trust center (opens in a new tab)), which matters for European employers.

What Juicebox has that Talenry does not: a sentence-driven search UI over an index it owns, contact-finding with emails and phones, email sequencing with reply tracking, market analytics, and a free tier. For an agency recruiter who lives in search, those are the job.

Common questions

Is Juicebox an ATS?

No. Juicebox pushes profiles into your ATS and is explicit that it is not a system of record; applicant management, scheduling and full-funnel workflows need other software (Sprad (opens in a new tab)). Talenry is not an ATS either, but it keeps yours current by writing back what the agent does.

What do Juicebox Agents actually do?

They run searches continuously for each open role, assess profiles against your criteria and send outreach, using context from your ATS and intake notes (Agents page (opens in a new tab)). They cost $199 a month each on top of seats. They do not screen candidates or book interviews.

Can I use both?

Yes, and some teams will. Juicebox for the search-heavy front end, Talenry to run the requisition from shortlist to scheduled interview. Talenry’s own-pool recall also means candidates you sourced elsewhere get checked first on the next search.

The verdict

Talenry is the better choice for most hiring teams. It handles everything after search: the screen conducted by voice, the shortlist scored against your rubric, the interview scheduled, the pipeline tested for adverse impact, and the ATS updated without anyone re-keying a thing.

Juicebox fits if search is the whole problem: you want the best natural-language sourcing interface, published self-serve pricing and a free tier.

From search result to scheduled interview.

The demo runs against a role you are actually hiring for: a sourcing cycle, a scored shortlist, a screen transcript and the compliance surface.
