Talenry vs FrogHire (2026): Why Talenry Is the Better Pick for F-1 Students

Both check E-Verify and visa sponsorship. Only Talenry also submits applications, tailors a cover letter per role and runs voice mock interviews.

Talenry vs FrogHire

FrogHire (formerly F1 Hire) and Talenry both check E-Verify and visa sponsorship, and both autofill applications. The difference is everything after the filter: Talenry submits applications for you, writes a resume and cover letter for each role, and prepares you for the interview. For most international students, that makes Talenry the better pick.

If you’re on F-1 OPT, every job has to pass two tests: can this employer keep you in the country, and is it a good fit? Both tools answer the first. Talenry checks every listing for E-Verify enrollment, which decides a STEM OPT extension, and for visa sponsorship, as two separate filters, free. But a filtered list is not a job. Talenry is built to carry you from that list to an offer, and that is where FrogHire stops.

TL;DR

  • Talenry comes out ahead. It matches FrogHire on the visa questions (E-Verify and visa sponsorship, both free) and on autofill, then does what FrogHire doesn’t: submits applications for you on Greenhouse, Workday, Lever, Ashby and iCIMS, writes a tailored resume and cover letter per role, runs voice mock interviews, and keeps your tracker current from your inbox.
  • FrogHire is a visa-data overlay on LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake, Glassdoor and Google Jobs. It fills forms, but you submit every one, and it has no interview practice.
  • FrogHire’s one edge is history: past PERM filings and prevailing-wage levels per employer. Useful for research, but it does not apply for you or get you ready for the interview.

Why Talenry comes out ahead

  • The visa questions, answered free. Each listing shows whether the employer is enrolled in E-Verify, from the list USCIS publishes, and you can filter on that and on visa sponsorship as two separate questions: can this job support a STEM OPT extension, and will this employer sponsor a visa. The job board, match scores and both filters are free for everyone, always (see how the E-Verify filter works).
  • It submits, not just fills. Cloud auto-apply completes and submits applications on Greenhouse, Workday, Lever, Ashby and iCIMS, including multi-page screeners. You choose how much it sends alone: every application reviewed by you, only the ones where every answer comes from your profile (the default), or, in beta, your strongest matches on its own. If it would have to guess at an answer, it pauses for you. FrogHire leaves every submit to you.
  • Autofill everywhere else. The Talenry Copilot extension for Chrome fills applications on any company career site or applicant tracking system with your profile, answers and documents, for you to review and submit.
  • A resume and a cover letter for every role. Rewritten against each posting from what is already in your profile. Nothing is invented.
  • Interview practice FrogHire doesn’t have. Voice mock interviews generated against the role you applied to, with a scorecard per question and the specific thing to change. For international candidates interviewing in a second language, practising out loud is often what turns a screen into an offer.
  • A tracker that keeps itself current. Replies, rejections and interview invitations are read from your inbox and moved on your board automatically.

What FrogHire does well

FrogHire is a data tool first. Its Chrome and Edge extension works on top of LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake, Glassdoor and Google Jobs, and inside each posting it shows whether the employer has filed H-1B and PERM cases before, whether it uses E-Verify, the prevailing-wage level for the role, and any sponsorship language in the job description. Its free Prevailing Wage Checker compares an offer against Department of Labor wage levels. It has added autofill on the major applicant tracking systems, resume tailoring at three strength levels, match scores and referral emails through Gmail. There’s a free Basic plan with limited usage, and autofill runs on credits.

Where FrogHire falls short

FrogHire helps you decide where to apply, then hands the work back. It fills the form and you submit, one application at a time. There are no cover letters per role and no interview practice you can run yourself, only workshops and coaching services. Its sponsorship data is historical, and FrogHire says so itself: “the employer still decides whether a role and candidate can be sponsored.” And it is a small tool with a thin independent review record. The one thing it shows that Talenry does not is an employer’s past PERM filings and prevailing-wage levels; if that research matters to you, it’s a reasonable side tool, not a replacement for the search itself.

Common questions

Which is better for F-1 students on OPT?

Talenry, for most. Both check E-Verify enrollment, the question that decides a STEM OPT extension, and both filter on visa sponsorship; Talenry’s filters are free for everyone. From there Talenry does more of the work: it submits applications, writes a resume and cover letter for each role, and runs voice mock interviews. FrogHire adds past PERM filings and prevailing-wage levels, which is useful research but does not move an application forward.

Does FrogHire guarantee a company will sponsor me?

No, and to its credit FrogHire says so directly. Its data is historical: it shows whether an employer has sponsored before, but the employer still decides whether any specific role and candidate can be sponsored. Use it to filter and prioritize, not as a promise.

Do both autofill applications?

Yes. Both have a browser extension that fills application forms from your profile, and with both you review and submit. Talenry can also submit for you: cloud auto-apply completes Greenhouse, Workday, Lever, Ashby and iCIMS applications, sending on its own only when every answer comes from your profile, or after your review if you prefer.

Is FrogHire free?

There’s a free Basic plan with limited usage, and paid upgrades for more; autofill runs on credits. Several university career centers license FrogHire for their international students. Talenry’s job board, match scores and E-Verify and visa filters are free for everyone, and the rest runs on credits, with a 7-day trial and no card.

The verdict

Talenry is the better choice for most international students. It answers the same visa questions for free, E-Verify and visa sponsorship, and then does the rest of the job: autofill on any form, submission on the major applicant tracking systems, a tailored resume and cover letter for each role, and voice interview practice.

FrogHire makes sense as a research add-on if you want an employer’s past PERM filings and prevailing-wage levels before you apply.
